 ・In Japanese

This is an explanation of the certification test cycles for automobiles in each country, and the time series data. The time series data is available in 1 second and 0.1 second increments.

■WLTC

WLTC stands for Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Cycle, and is the cycle used in the EU and Japan (more information here).

■FTP

FTP stands for The Federal Test Procedure, and is a cycle used in the US. Up until 1369 seconds, the cycle is called UDDS (Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule), which is designed for urban areas. FTP also has two driving cycles with the same vehicle speed pattern, one when the outside air temperature is 25°C and the other when the outside air temperature is -7°C (the cold period is called Cold FTP). During Cold FTP, the vehicle is driven with the heating and air conditioning turned on.

■US06

The US06 is also a cycle used in the US, and is characterized by being run at a higher load than FTP. It is run at an outside temperature of 25°C.

■HWFET

HWFET stands for Highway Fuel Economy Test, which is also used in the US. It is a driving cycle at an outside temperature of 25°C and a high vehicle speed of up to 100km/h.

■SC03

SC03 stands for Speed Correction Driving Schedule, which is also used in the U.S. It is characterized by driving in high temperature conditions of 35°C outside and with the air conditioner set to MAX (minimum temperature setting, maximum airflow).
