■IMEP(Indicated Mean Effective Pressure)
IMEP is the pressure obtained from the P-V diagram shown below, which is obtained by subtracting the pump loss from the combustion pressure.

■BMEP(Brake Mean Effective Pressure)
BMEP is IMEP minus mechanical resistance. Converting this pressure to torque is the net torque available from the engine's output shaft.
